Edric: Baby hair grow quick grow!!
Edric kept shedding his cutsy Mohawk hairstyle Eversince at 3-5 months old! His little mattress on the baby cot would be filled with his little baby hair! I miss his nice Mohawk hairstyle! Considering he had lots of hair at birth, now he is back to a botak boy like Elijah! Hehe!
Though I must say at 5.5months old, his little hair started to sprout again!! More little hair coming out and growing out!!! My handsome little monk like baby! And his head is so shiny too!
Here's a little glimpse of his growing hair!

Elijah has a brother!!!
My second birth story is also an adventure even more exciting than the 1st.
Waterbag burst on 12th Jan 2013. However, it seems like I have no contraction at all and delivery did not seem like anytime soon. Having the hope of VBAC, I was asked to be admitted and to be observed. Doc suspected it might be hindwater.
Throughout the 2 days on 12th Jan and 13th Jan, I was basically doing the waiting game. There was some contraction but it was not frequent enough. However, it got me all excited coz my good friend Vivien ended up delivering on 13th Jan. It's really funny how we always joke about having our 2nd baby together etc. In the end, we did hahahha.
On 14th Jan Mon, Dr Chua decided to let me go home but she did a scan for me. Alas, amniotic fluid was really low by then. We have to go for a C-section again though it was not considered an emergency C-section. We decided to do it on 15th Jan coz according to Cheewan....it was a better fengshui and also that meant I could spend one more night with Elijah before delivery. :)
On 15th Jan Tues, it was THE day. I was super nervous even though it was not the first. But thankfully everything was alright. Finally I get to meet Edric. Yet another boy who was too comfy in my tummy. My 2 boys just don't wanna leave mama. Haahha. Is that a good sign?? Anyway, the side effects were the same. I felt like puking and I did a couple of times. So poor Elijah.....we couldn;t get him over on 15th Jan coz I was too weak and too sick. Had to leave him in good hands again that night at my mums.
Edric was a sweetie....though not my 1st born but I think he is gonna be my last baby to hug. :) Contented with 2 prince.

My note to Edric:
Dear Edric,
Hello there. It wasn't an easy birth journey. I was so excited to meet you at last. Though it was a tiring journey for the 10 months, my heart simply melt when we first met. You are such a sweet little boy. Holding you is such a fantastic feeling. You are a very fortunate little boy as you have parents who love you very much and a brother who simply adores you.
Thank you for coming into my life. I am blessed with you and will treasure every moment together. Looking forward as a foursome family.
Hehehe wonder why you and Elijah both didn't want to come out to say hello earlier. My womb seems too comfy for both of you. Hhehehe.
I love you lots lots. My little Edric boy!
Regards,
Mummy Mary

A second getaway in 2012....KL
Since Cheewan didn't have to work for day 3 -5 of CNY, we decided to drive up to KL for the weekend. Leaving on day 5 CNY. Traffic was smooth although we were a little worried that traffic would be bad as school holiday for Malaysia was way longer than us and definitely stretched beyond this weekend.
Reached just in time for dinner. Had a nice early dinner at Penang Cafe. Food was alright. Decent I suppose. The following day was full of shopping. Sale was great of about 20-70% discount. Could get pretty good buys. Bought some clothes. Wanted to find some for Elijah too but just couldn't find nice ones. Another great buy...bedsheets hahahaa. Guess we shop for weird things there. But shopping was good and therapeutic.
Food was the other good one. Although we didn't proceed to the outdoor foodstalls, perhaps next time, I guess we satisfied ourselves with good food still. There was this Chinese restaurant....very yummy and we ordered a pomfret...only RM$36 and it was huge. Think we could feed like 5-6 pple with that amount of food. Hhahahaha..guess we were really hungry.
The other attraction was the dessert. Guess no Malacca for us but there was this jonker street dessert...yummy cendol.....with KIDNEY BEANS!!! Yippyyy...fell in love with it and the cendol was just heavenly too. Hahahaha. Elijah fell in love with ice jelly. Tried to document his expression but failed.
He suddenly blurted out, ' Yummy! I think I can finish all!!'.
We both burst into laughter with his spontaneous expression. Tried to ask him to repeat to document in video but he refused to. Hahahhaha. It was really cute.
He loved the bathtub. Guess he always loves getaways. He almost refused to leave the hotel room.
It was really fantastic to catch up with friends in KL. Really touched that they all tried to make it for the gathering and even go to the extend of asking Bear Bear to ferry us. Aiyoh....so paiseh trouble everyone. We kind of nearly missed the opportunity..suddenly the night before we left remembered we could catch up with them. It was really nice..went to a mall called Empire shopping centre...had lunch with the whole group at Din Tai Feng. Yummy...thanks ladies. Really touched!
Well, nothing beats some nice photos to end this post.

No legs!!
Elijah said, 'This one cannot join them! He has no legs!'
Apparently, Eljiah has developed the concepts of groups n similarities! He recognized that the land animals have legs thus could be arranged together!
The land animals as one!!

The abandon dolphin which had no legs!

On a separate occasion, mummy asked, 'Is ah ma a girl?'
Elijah's reply was, 'Ah ma is not a boy!!.
Mummy asked again, 'Is 公公 a girl or boy?'.
His reply once again was, '公公 is not a girl!!'.
Faints!! He was giving me smart cheeky replies which were technically right!!

My little boy has grown up liao!!!
Cheewan is away for work again. This time to KL and BKK. I had prep Elijah that daddy had to sit aeroplane and work these few days so he won't be around. On Mon, I had to prep him that I was going to be the one sending him to school on Tues and Wed. It's not my most wanted job as Elijah had always been very sticky to me. When I was the one previously who sent him to school, he would wailed whenever I left his school. Teacher had to pluck him from my arms. Not a very pleasant sight at all and I always left with a heavy heart....even though I know he would stop crying when I'm gone. Just not a very pleasant thing to have to go through first thing in the morning.
Today and yesterday were a good change for a start. Tues...Elijah woke up happy. Greeted teacher Siti with a big good morning. Then followed me to put his bags and stuff and eat his tau sar bao. When I walk towards the front door, he did not ask me to carry him as well as he walked over to the computer area where everyone was. I walked away...didn't really say goodbye as I was afraid he would cry....he didn't cry...no whining too. He was alright and finally understood that I'm not abandoning him. It was a nice morning. It happened again on today. The same thing once again. This time, I even said bye to him and he was alright with it. He saw me leaving. It was great!!! My heart melted when I saw his sweet little eyes looking at me leaving. My little boy is a sensible boy already!!! Hurray. Success!! No more heavy heart!!
Was really happy yesterday. I cook maggi mee for us. Of course without putting in the MSG packet...with nice minced meat, egg and brocolli. He loved it kept asking me for more noodles. Went to buy him the Konfidence swimjacket, goggles, sun block and sun glasses at mothercare. Had discount...getting him ready for Maldives...think we both can't wait and are excited over the trip. Couldn't resist buying 3 in1 rice ball tau huay for ourselves. Hehhee.
Wed...He woke up in a reading mood. He was reading his doggie and cat book. So sweet. Had no choice but to convince him that we had to go to school already.
The day ended in Ah Mah's house and Iris Yee Yee is staying over too. He had a great time with all of them. And Elijah is in dreamland now. Am sure he misses Daddy lots lots.

Elijah's 1st Movie experience.....RIO
Decided that it was time to introduce the concept of movie to Elijah. Afterall, he did love the experience of a concept during Ellie's MG concert. Maybe he would like to watch a movie too. Anyway on this lovely Thurs, we decided to bring Elijah to watch Rio. First time that he would be in a movie theatre...we're not sure how he would be responding to it as well....whether he could sit there for an hour plus without running around. Well we'll find out!
His experience was complete with popcorn. PAssion card rock....it was $11.50 for 2 tickets complete with a small pack of popcorn. It was such a fantastic deal...only at Cathay cinemas. Great. I was grinning lots after buying the tickets. Went to fetch Elijah. He knew about it as we told him we were bringing him for a movie on the parrots.
When it all started...his eyes were glued. With periodic conversations like 'Mummy..what happened to the parrot?' . We tried to keep conversations to the minimal. Our little boy was such a darling. He sat throughout the show. He did enjoy it. Was already feasting on the popcorn way before the movie started. All was good...he didn't fuss for more popcorn.
Anyway it was a lovely experience. He was talking about Blu and Jewel after that.
All was well till we reached home...he started fussing. But I think he was too tired and overstimulated. He was fussing and fussing..till we tuck him to bed. Think it must be tiring for his little brain as he was concentrating for too long.
Anyway the experience was well worth it. BTW, it was also mummy and daddy's 1st movie experience ever since his birth. Hehehhe for once we get to experience it too.
